At iServU Handyman Service, we took part in an impressive Porch Repair project at a charming 1800s Victorian home in St. Paul. The original covered, wrap around front porch needed reinforcements and numerous board replacements, which we meticulously completed using matching tongue and groove Douglas Fir boards. Alongside these essential repairs, we had to custom make and replace some sections of the home’s original vintage railing due to its unique dimensions and design. This expertise, precision, and care also extended to the back porch, where we replaced several boards, rebuilt steps, reconstructed the railing and replicated an exact copy of a decayed post, including distinct custom molding matching the original. The project, set amidst a tranquil yard of mature trees, was an absolute delight and we were pleased to restore the stunning features of this historic home.
